This afternoon outside my office a car cut off a bike and he went down pretty hard. I did not see the accident, one of the girls in my office told me there was an accident so I went outside to see what had happened. When I looked across the 4 lanes of traffic I saw a bike down and a body in the road.
I am the Practice Administrator for an Urgent Care Company so I ran inside and grabbed a Physician's Assistant and a Medical Assistant and we ran over to the scene.
There were many witnesses to the accident as it is a four lane busy road with all the usual chain stores etc..
The PA and MA immediatley tended to him checking his vitals and keeping him responsive until the ambulance arrived. He never lost consciousness while we were with him, and he might have broken his hip and possibly his leg. My MA called one of his family members and told her what had happened.
I do not know his name, he is an African American gentleman in his 60's older black HD Ultra with NY plates.
I hope and pray he is alright. And I hope that the police find the person that cut him off as they fled the scene.
Hopefully one of those witnesses got a good description of the vehicle and the driver.
Any traffic camera's at that intersection that may have recorded what happened??
I think a few could identify the car but no plate #. It wasn't at an intersection just a straight-a-way on a busy road. None of the businesses have cameras to catch the road.
