Get true track. My 09 wobbled like crazy even with the new magical frame.
T.T. Won't eliminate it 100% but it will get rid of 90% of them and tighten the bike up.
could also be a combination of things, uneven tire wear, going bearing, etc... needing a frame fix for stability might be going too far too fast, maybe identify the issue for sure first then take care of it, then a true trac or other might still be a good idea but you dont want to assume it is that and fix it and then mask an actual problem elsewhere that might fail and cause you to go down or lock up or something.
Lump
ps, that might be the longest run on sentence ever, lol even though I speak it English was never my friend
Glide-Pro worked like a charm for me. Search it.I did a lengthy write up several years ago. Cure the root of the problem. Also look at Custom Cycle Engineerins beefy top tree and fork tubes, spendy as heck though.
I just got an 06 street glide and it seems like around long turns goin freeway speeds is gets a wobble not a full speed wobble but more like its skating around I took it to dealer and they said nothing was wrong but something sure isn't right
Either way, shouldn't really have to worry about that on a bike that cost so much. Mine has it, sometimes not so bad sometimes it makes you pay attention..
As long as your bike is performing satisfactorily now that's really all that matters.
That said, I'm not so sure their bearing diagnosis was accurate. I would think the brake noise would trump anything you might hear from the bearing with the test method you described unless the bearing was literally falling apart. As for the tire wearing unevenly, that is very common even with perfect bearings at 20,000 miles. And like you said, you could never duplicate the original problem (wobble) you felt this one time. If a bearing was bad enough to cause the wobble you'd feel it all the time - not just once.
I think they just changed out some parts, made you happy, got you for the $50.00 deductible, and didn't really fix anything.
I could hear it when my bearings were going south on my 09 with 20k on the ticker. They make more noise than you think. I changed mine myself and they were shot but not like the races were coming apart.

I too, felt the tank slap or wobble when taking turns. I have a 2008 FLHX. I originally had air shocks and stock tires. To correct the wobble I got the Progressive Touring Link (since it was the cheapest), new Dunlop Elite 3's, and some good JRI suspension in the rear. I am taking turns like crazy now with no wobble. The bike feels so much more solid.
I'd like to sort of "underline" inspecting the front engine mount. I have never been able to change the oil filter without at least some oil getting on the mount. I always washed it off as best I could but this spring I noticed the rubber starting to crack. I got just the Glide Pro engine mount because it is oil-proof. My machine is an 08 to give you some idea how long my mount lasted.
My scooter seemed as though I could never get just the right turn radius in the fast turns, I was always hunting between slightly too tight and slightly too wide. The Progressive brace made a big difference. In 2 years and 20,000+ MILES the heim joints developed some play. I just replaced them with some heavier duty ones, will see how long they last.

Good info. Will look out for that. My brace is new and I love it.
