Boom audio aint bad, had them in my Road glide fairing, great sound!
As for amp's Alpine started making a slim low pro, amp. Its small and powerful!
Will fit anywhere. Check out a local bigbox audio joint...
Locally I was able to listen to some JL Audio/Hertz speakers. At Bikes/Blues/BBQ I was able to listen to some Focals at the Dragon Fly display. My then speakers were some (still) very nice Memphis Audio MClass 6.5" components powered by an Arc KS 125.2 amp. I ordered some Focal VB 165 components and installed them Tuesday. While they certainly play loud and clean, what impresses me most is the detail in the music that you hear. Absolutely fantastic in detail clarity. Much (most?) of this will be lost going down the road at 65mph with all road/wind/exhaust noise but will still be better than what I had. I am clearly a Focal believer now ....
I agree Focal is the way to go with Arc amp. I'm running K-3P on my bike with 125.2 amp (changing to JM 4 channel,do believe its a Arc also just need more power). K-3P are a 2.5way system with tweeter and 2- 6.5 woofers. Tweeter fits perfect in place of air temp and voltage gauge mid bass woofer is in fairing and bass woofer is in lowers. System rocks!!
From: 12 year, Colombia, 4 years Mexico, currently In Kuwait, but Boston is HOME!!
I went with the HOUSE PARTY SYSTEM from rockford-fosgate. It had to be modified to fit my flhtk, but the front speakers work very nicely and the amp works great. If your looking for face melt with just two speakers, not sure that wil happen but with lowers and rears, which I did, along with a hogtunes tweet-pod ten speakers in total. I am cranking motorhead and melting my face!!!!
