I've had both, I wouldn't pay 4 bucks a month for XM, but I think the 12.95 I spend on Sirius is a bargan (by the way xm is 12.95 also). Great Playlist, all music is commercial free, NBA, NFL, NCAA, Nascar, World cup soccer, Full line of news, talk, the playboy channel, religious programming, Martha Stewartand of course Howard Stern.

Xm has pro baseball, commercials on some music channels, air america (which has gone bankrupt).

I have the Sirius Stilletto 10 not the 100. Don't need or want to record a bunch so it saves $100. Works well but you may want to look into in-canal ear plugs. Helps keep the volumn setting lower and protects your hearing.

No contest who I would choose, but look at the playlist for yourself on line and good luck.

speaking of in canal earphones, hot bike has an artical in this months issue about custom molded earphones, where they take an actual cast of the inner ear and mold a set of earphones to match it....pretty cool actually

sirius "stilleto" is like a walk man carry it with you plug in your headphones, and go. plus sirius is leaps and bounds better than xm if your still shopping. i have 3 sirius units and i know about a dozen that have swithched from xm to sirius in the past year...most of the are people with chevy vehicles that have xm installed from the factory! they all say xm is irritating to listen to with their commercials ( ihave never had xm so thats just what i here) plus if like roundie round racing (nascar) sirius is supposed to have a killer set-up for that this year like 10 channels dedicated during a race for in car listening.
jj is right. Sounds like you need the Stiletto. Supposed to be pretty cool setup. I've got a Sirius reciever plugged into my radio and love it.
I'm doing a poll in "off topic" https://www.hdforums.com/m_1224799/m...tm.htm#1224799

I'll tell you what... Since moving here to Texas and still having the house in Connecticut (sold the other day) I have been flying back and forth. I picked up the Bose ear buds.... Damn they are great... I think it was worth the 100... Dont have to listen to those trophies yelling and screaming on planes.

I have the older Sirius Replay mounted on my RK. Check my album for pics. A 6' audio extension cable is snaked behind the seat. Thanks to yellotang's post here on HDF, I got the Phillips noise cancelling earbuds from Wal-Mart ($30 - you can't go wrong). With a standard height windshield to cut down on wind noise, I've got tunes on my ride. Like others have said, there's great programming on Sirius.

I get my Street Glide in April and want to install my Sirius Receiver in the middle pouch of my Windshield bag.

The questions I have are:

1. Do I need to buy another car dock system from Sirius and use the dock and wiring from the kit or can I just get the wiring needed elsewhere.

2. Does the Harley radio have Aux input in the back of the unit and if yes and I use it for Sirius does that make the AUX input in the front inactive.

3. How is power to my Sporster Sirius Receiver received?

4. Do I need to use a dock or is there a special plug I can get?

Thanks for any help provided.[/align]

A. I bought mine at Costco and it came with an auto and home setup. I don't use it at home, so I cut the transformer off and used that wire and plug to connect to the back of the cig. lighter for power, and then ran that wire up and out between the windshield and fairing on the inside(where your bag will be)

2. Does the Harley radio have Aux input in the back of the unit and if yes and I use it for Sirius does that make the AUX input in the front inactive.
A. I don't think it does. I connected in front with a cord from Radio Shack

Hope that helps
Here's a pic of mine. You can see the wires behind the WS
