Boy, no on missed that attire did they? Congrats on the upgrade. You are going to LOVE that bike and put gobs of miles on it. I can see your smile all the way up in New England! Have fun, get a better saddle for it, change the header to eliminate those 450 degree cats and start reading about suspension upgrades. Oh man! The $$$ keep flying out of the wallet! Enjoy it.
Great looking bike regardless of what you are wearing. Been looking at a '13 just like yours.
I was always very fussy about wearing the correct 'stuff' while riding. Until one Sunday afternoon, I had just finished washing the bike wearing shorts and a t-shirt. Said what the hell, I'll take a 5 mile spin around the lake and be back in 10 minutes. Everyone knows where this is going, only time I have ever had an accident with injuries was on that 5 mile spin when a dog appeared out of nowhere. Have a safe trip back to NC.
Familiar story. A guy I work with did something very similar but didn't make it 3 blocks before he hit a curb and went down. It took him a couple of months to completely recover.
I've done it myself on occasion. My wife shakes her head every time I do it.
