Here is a tip; no matter who is going to paint the bags, make sure they get the denim just right because you are painting a large surface and if the silky matte tone is not a perfect match with the factory version, it will look terrible. Just make sure the painter is willing to guarantee the perfect match in writing. Even if the painter uses the original Denim clear coat from the factory; the amount of paint applied and the number of coats will affect the level of satin finish and the bags might look a bit milky or a bit glossy!
If you get the written guarantee, there is nothing to worry about.
I don't know anyone in your area, but I'm sure there are good painters out there.

Subscribed, looking for someone also to paint a CVO street glide rear fender. My dealer was kind enough to offer to have "their guy" paint it for $500. Oddly enough they would not give me his name to call directly. I am sure they were looking to make some extra money off of me on the job.
