Yes and no

I know how to install the clamp. All others are installed just as you mentioned.

The heat shield goes over both sides. I talked to the Bassani rep and he agrees with everything I have done, so I know the process I am using is sound but for some reason it just will not stay in place and slide off.

I sent the pics to the Bassani rep. He has not yet called back. I wanted to see if any forum member ran into this issue before and see if they developed some kind of a trick to get the install completed. This is the last heat shield to be installed anyway so the whole system is installed and operating very well minus the shield.

I would suggest one more thing. After you insert the hose clamp through the "H" inside the shield and put it in place on the pipe, when you start the end of the hose clamp through the worm gear, make sure it is not hitting itself, the worm gear housing. Bend the end of the clamp out slightly so more of the band can be threaded trough the worm gear.

I had a problem with getting the small shield on the left side of the V&H power duals to be tight and not rattle on the shield next to it or the muffler. I replaced that hose clamp because the stock one was deforming.

I fakin knew this thread would be about Bassani PC pipes

I've had a set sitting around for months, finally put them on...

these heatshields SUCK. Especially the one for the "power curve." I don't know if mine's warped or some crap but there's no. way. that it will mount up and line up with the cross-pipe heading to the left. No way whatsoever.

LOVE my Bassani megaphones, and am cool with the true dual setup despite noticeable torque loss, but yeah...the HS setup is just plain lame. Chrome was nice.
