I have watched the videos of police competitions on their motorbikes and have thought I would like to develop those technics.
I am close to San Francisco, California. I have looked around and found one person who has the classes, when he is in the country. But he is often out of the country and only gives lessons in the summer. I have checked the HD website in the past and they have not had any listed.
And, who knows if a particular person really has the technics down to a point to really teach them properly.
Anyone know of a place and/or person who teaches these technics? Especially classes in northern California?
Normally I'd suggest taking a Ride Like A Pro course, but looks like they dont offer them in California. Probably need to have your CA brethren chime in.
What they said. If you are serious and do the routines he recommends, it's an awesome DVD. Just watching his little wife whipping that big touring bike around will compel you to ride better!
I took the ride like a pro class here in North Carolina. I can tell you it was hard. I learned that I need to practice more. The instructor (and probably the DVDs) make it look easy but what the expect you to do is really hard. Prepare to dump your bike at least once. Good class though.
As was said before, get the Ride Like a Pro DVD. I too, did the class and it was tough. I took what I learned in class, as well as the DVD and have been practicing a lot. It does pay off.
