Thinking about getting the front forks chromed. Harley has the Front end kit that comes with; upper fork slider, fork slider, chrome wheel spacer, axle nut cover, slider drain screw kit, upper fork nut cover, ect. for $549.95.
They also have just the Chrome Lower Fork sliders for $419.
I already have axle nut covers and I think the upper fork slider covers are already shiny.
So My question is, do I need the kit, or just the lower fork sliders?
J&P cycles has lower leg kits for under $200. Unless you are looking for award winning show chrome, you can get by with these.
I have the J&P chrome lower legs on my RG. When ya order them, be sure of the brake mounting points on each leg.
You will need the cowbells as well as they are polished, not chrome. We really like our smooth bottom lowers which are much slicker than the Harley chrome version. They do cost a little bit more but for the smooth and clean look you get they are well worth it. Great deals are being made on these everyday.

Everytime I see those on a bike I kick my own *** for not going that route. They really look good. What's worse is you are using the same color bike as mine in the picture.
