Optimum AFR
The particular set up would be engine stock, decatted, stock head pipes, slip on VH MR's, AN big sucker stage 1.
Thanks.
My PC-V w/AutoTune is setup for 13:1 @ 60% to 100% throttle and 13.8 in the cruise ranges. Tapering the A/F ratio between the two.
Have played around with leaner mixtures in the cruise range but 13.8:1 seems to run a little cooler and has great throttle response. Spark plugs look great at 13.8, that light tan color that you like to see. Leaner than 14.2 and they start to look white.
The bike gets 36-38 mpg cruising. I might get better but its hard not to rip on it every now and then. I just can't help it. LOL.

All the Fuel Moto tunes I have received have been at 13.8:1 in the cruise range. I guess they set them up on the very rich side.

Speaking of Nascar... what is THEIR nominal WOT/Cruise set at? 19? 17.5? This is the year of EFI, if they run unleaded, there is NO way they are reading the AFR on those plugs. Timing, etc. yes, ping, yes, but pure white is pure white at 19:1 AFR. even down in the base.
I grew up reading plugs, too. But since leaded went away in 1980, things DO change a bit.
You won't 'buy' it, but you actually ARE running too rich for a 2010 bike IMHO, a bike that came with closed loop.
We're good, dude.

After thinking about my last post I thought it sounded a little argumentative. I edited the post and you responded while I was changing it. LOL.
I do have Bosch wide band O2 sensors on my bike. The PC-V is set up with AutoTune.
My bike really likes 13.8:1 in the cruise range. Running any leaner I can also feel the bike running hotter. Maybe it is rich, but the bike likes it.
