Just talked to the service guy at the dealer and he said he has never heard of this happening. He was verynice and offered a new tank if the paint was chipped. I'm gonna be up there first thing in the morning,

his tune may change (hope not) when you get there and the paint is only 'rubbed' and not chipped. he'll probably offer to have it buffed out for you then.

It's a brand new bike,the parts should be replaced not "fixed".Good thing that you're persistent!

Obviously besides a new tank, please post WHY it happened and what the fix was.

Just got back from the dealer. They had me in and out in 30 minutes. I did not see what was adjusted on the bike but was told there are adjustments for this issue. The service tech adjusted it and no more problem. I also did not even have to mention a new tank. The tech said he ordered one and it should be here in a few weeks. Very pleased with the service and also getting it fixed right.

Post the name of the dealer. Feel good dealer stories are rare. They deserve some free advertising for others in your area.
