anyone have a windshield bag/pouch mounted on their flhxi with the stock windshield? want one but can't find one that will fit this. pics would be appreciated.
I bought a 3 pocket one from a local shop and cut off the 2 small ones are on the sides. Fit well, but within a month or so I figured out that the 4 inch shield that comes on the FLHX is not worth a damn. I bought a 7 inch shield and wished that I had never cut the sides off.
Before you buy one and do the same thing I did, buy the taller windshield that you will eventually do anyway and keep the 3 pocket system. I beleive it is a Hopnel.

HD says you can't do it, but someone on this forum put the big pouch (#58248-96) on his SG and said that it only stuck out a bit on the top edges of the wind deflector. I think any of them will work, but might not be an ideal cosmetic effect. Another option might be to buy one of the three-pouch kits and cut the left and right pouches off, but that would be an expensive route to get one small bag.
iclick: Is that the stock windshield? Can we get a better picture? I have been unable to find a pouch for the stock windshield also.
Somehow I managed to post a blank message, so please disregard it. No, that is an 8" Clearview w/recurve and I just installed an HD windshield bag (58248-96) that isn't shown in the photo.
I got the standard 3 pouch on mine with a 8 inch windshield and it works fine. The corners don't stick out at all. Looks good. The standard 4 inch shield came off the first day. I like the look, but not much function.
