Battery Change?
I have a 06 Road King Classic with just over 35,000 miles on the clock. I am still using the original battery from 6 1/2 years ago. Since I live in the cold north east (Boston), I am always using a battery tender during the fall and winter months.
The bike fires up every time and rides great. My question is how long should I expect the battery to last? I asked some frends who ride and they say 4 years is what to normally expect, and they have changed theirs around that time frame.
With another winter coming and the bike being put away in another month, should I consider getting a new battery or keep using the original and hope it doesn't quit on me when I least expect it? Thanks to all.

You got Your Money's worth out of that Battery! Time for a new one. On My 08UC, it lasted one month shy of 5yrs before it failed. Get a new one now before You are stranded somewhere, Don't ask Me how I know.

I say replace it now, unless your parking it for the winter. If so, make replacement of said battery the first thing on your to do list for spring. Mine lasted for five plus, and I did have to get a jump start to get to the crib after being stranded in Home Depots parking lot.
