Got a 07 Ultra and i wouldnt change mind , do it again in a minute. I havent had any real problems other than poor fuel milage at first and that got better about 5 tanks of fuel later. Also the low fuel warning light seemed to come on early , but that hasnt happened but one time (parts wearing in ? ).....Oh the birth date is 07/06.....no low rpm problems and yes 5th gear is noisey at first 1000mi service its still there but not as bad, doesnt bother me, turn up the radio ! I would give it a big and it now has 2700 miles on it, got it last of sept 06 .........

I will add this. My RK has a production date of 9/06 and my transmission makes tons of noise it rattles in all gears and when its hot its terrible. When it is hot and I pull up to the garage to put her away put it in nuetral let the clutch out andit rattles like a bitch. So back to the dealer it went today for the second time. I got the bike on Christmas eve and have put 2500 mile on her. I did not notice the noise as bad until the 1000 mile service. I didn't even get out of the parking lot. I turned it around and took it right back. The guy heard the sound and pulled it in and took the primary apart right then to make sure everything was "right". I rode it home after sitting for 3 hours waiting. I took it back about a week later for the same problem. They put it on the dyno, their shop foreman checked it out and told me the sound was normal. He actually recomended ear plugs! So I kept riding and I coluldn't stand it any longer so I took it back today. The dealer gave me a loner manufacture date 12/06 what a bike!!! I can hear the smooth motor the exhaust is sweeter and absolutely no rattle from the transmission!!!! Night and day difference. I will not accept my bike back until it sounds like this loner. I must stand my $25,000 dollar ground!!! I also notied on the loner I can ride at lower rpms and the bike handles it with no problem. On mine it will lug much worse.

I have had no problems with my bike other than not riding it enough. It makes a little whinning noise in 5th gear but it is so faint I hardly notice it. I would buy this bike all over again. I ordered this bike in November and got it in January. I guess all of the problems were worked out by the time I got my bike. The tranny doesn't like to go into 6th gear before 70 mph. However I love this bike.

It sounds like a lot of you guys solved any problems by spending another $1,000 os so on a PCIII,air cleaner and exhaust.I wasn't planning on spending money on that,at least not yet.I assumed it should work fine off the showroom floor.

When was the last time anyone left stock pipes on a bike ? When you change pipes you have to change air fuel ratio , so you need a power commander , remember these are fuel injected bikes .

Ok,so I only would need the PCIII on an 07 if you change pipes and/or air cleaner?Otherwise, the 07's run fine?BTW my fuelly 02 Heritage had a Stage 1 kit but stock exhaust (yes,I was jeered) and it ran fine.
