Oh well, I'll see next week. I rode 150 miles in 26 degree weather yesterday without them and did OK, but I would rather be warm and toasty rather than just OK:-)
If you felt the regular length in your size was too short, I would go back to the local BMW dealership and have them order a long of the Gerbing brand if HD doesn't offer your size in long. I made that mistake and had to take back my Gerbing jacket liner in regular size and get the long because the wires weren't long enough to make it out the sleeves of the outer jacket to reach the gloves plug.

I love it, nothing like keeping the hands warm and responsive. The wife does not care for riding if it is under 65 degrees, but the girlfriend is a trooper and rides whenever I take her, she don't care if I bring the heated gear for her, she finds a place to keep her hands warm.

Pant liners? My jeans shrunk too much for that. Then again so do my leathers. If you are in cold weather, like to ride your bike and have folks in cages giving you goofy looks cause you are on your bike in the teens ya can't go wrong with Gerbings. FWIW they make the HD gear (some seem confused). Back to the beginning, I talked to a few folks before I sprung for the pants as they were quite pricey, just shy of $300.00. Found the outer pants were the way to go and I never looked back. Initially bought the boot liners but not quite warm enough unless you wear lace up boots and I do not so gave them to a friend after I bought the socks. Between all the gear Gerbings they have to offer, including the dual controller and clip on case I have close to a grand tied up in the stuff. A part of that is a backup pair of gloves. My original HD gloves were out for repair, I was riding on a cold day, came to a shop that was closing and gave a discount so went for it (the G3 gloves). To say I love riding year round and my heated gear is an understatement. Put on a FF modular, tuck the collar of the jacket liner under the strap and all is good.

I have written this crap so many times I gotta save it so I can copy/paste in the future....

Chit, I just tallied it all up and I have spent more than I thought. And this doesn't include tax!!!!

Gloves $150.00 (X2)
Jacket liner $220.00
XE outer pants $290.00
Socks $90.00
Dual controller $100.00
Dual controller case $11.00

Total $1,011.00

Dolt. Almost forgot the boot liners I gave away. Another $70.00....

I've had heated chaps and vest with on/off switch for 20 years. Just makes riding in the cold no big deal. Saddlebag flew open and I lost the vest last year. Picked up gerbings gloves and jacket liner with Firstgear dual controller. Big improvement from the old stuff! Be aware Gerbing makes/sells China and USA made stuff. The USA stuff is about $20 more but well worth it imho.

I finally bought gerbings gloves, jacket liner and a dual controller this year. Absolutely worth every penny. I've been out in the 20s for hours, only problem I've had is legs and feet. I guess I'm going to have to spend a little more. Mike

heated gear is great, i have the H-D jacket liner, H-D classic gloves with dual controller and picked up a pair of H-D heated boots a couple of weeks ago on ebay. the heated gear extends the riding season.

It is pretty easy and cheap to make your own heated gear, if anyone is interested I will go more into it.
