Air shocks..
Okay I have sat around and watched everyone say something so it is now my turn in the basket. 06 Ultra and I normally ride double, and single at times. The Question. Who has had a problem with the backend bottoming out when riding double? The recommended setting is 25 to 30 lbs and me and my lady hardly weight over 350 between the two of us. So do I need to change pressure or go aftermarket?
Thanks in advance.. I know someone knows the answer... LOL

I have the same set up and the both of us might go 360 total. I have had some bottoming out but only on a hard bump such as railroad tracks etc. I do know that the air leaks out andhas to be adjusted weekly.
I assume that you are talking about the stock air shocks. If so, I use 10 lbs when riding solo and 20 lbs when riding two-up. I'm about 250 solo and my wife is *ummmhhh* "150"-ish, so combined we are about 400 lbs. At 20 lbs of pressure, we do not bottom out. With these pressures, I get a comfortable, well controlled ride and don't see a need to replace the shocks with aftermarket units.
My wife and I weigh 300 combined and with no air and the stock street glide 12" stock shocks we never bottomed out. Then we added the Draggin baggers air ride system and bottoming out is routine!![:@]

I keep mine at 25 all the time. I had problem with leak down, but wiggled all of the connections and tighened valve stem and it holds now. I scraped the bottom of my engine on my last bike (non H-D and lowered an inch) in a large patch in the road. It was not a good feeling.
I have the profile shocks at 25lb combined weight 2up is 330lb, rides like a buckboard. Takes bumps real hard, not happy about it. Will try less air I quess.
