Default Stereo
I hve a 06 street glide wich the stock stereo cut in and out @ idle and while riding but not when the bike wasn't running. I've replaced the stereo and speakers and still the same problem. Any qlues to what's happening would be greatly appreciated.

When it cuts in and out, is the display also going off and on or just the sound? Does it do it with any source you are listening to (radio, CD, etc.?)

What model head unit?
amp in system?

Just the sound,and does it when I'm playing f.m.radio,cd,and Bluetooth.

I just replaced the stock and put a kenwood with Memphis audio speakers.

So even the Bluetooth transmission is gone when at idle??

Mine did that, it got worse after awhile. It was a cracked circuit board inside. You can have it fixed at Iron Cross or just get an after market stereo.

He has already gone with an aftermarket stereo and continues to have the same problem.
They are more susceptible to the vibe damage than the HK.
If all that was done was changing the head unit without addressing the vibration issue, it will continue to happen.

In that case he needs a new bike. Bummer.
