As crazy as I'm sure this sounds, I am looking for the stock mufflers that came with my '06 SG. I currently have SE slip-ons, the old 95B's. The problem with them is that the screws along with the threads eventually fall out (end cap) and the baffle rattles around. I have addressed this with the manufacturer (supertrapp) and they have helped me in the past but the situation is getting old and I'm tired of dealing with it. There is also another reason I want to experiment going back to stock. My bike is one of those with more vibration when going down the road than many others I have ridden. The thought is that the aftermarket mufflers have a little more rumble to them and just maybe, I may be able to cut a few vibes out with the quieter stock. I have already been down the road of motor mounts without much success. The real problem is, more then likely, the flywheels.
Sorry, I'm getting off track from my question. I recently acquired a pair of stock mufflers from a '07 SG, part#'s 66591-07 and 66592-07. The actual part # for my bike is the same except for ending in -06.
I'm wondering if the 07's (96") will work OK with my '06 (88") since the motor displacement is different.
