Did mine myself. Did lots of research first. Relaxed with it, no mistakes and did it right. Also it was the first bar swap for me. 6 hours start to finish. WO 575's with internal wiring and no cables changes.

Please no 10s. Look just like stock bars.

That sounds like a great deal. Really, I'm not kidding.
My dealer charges close to $100.00hr for labor.
I mean, I personally would do it myself no matter what someone else would charge but that sounds like a good deal.
From what I understand changing bars is a pretty big job with lots of little things that could go wrong. If your not really the "handy" kind of guy, it sounds worth it.
Good luck!

Well I am pretty handy. I have a shop full of tools and have built 6 muscle cars from junk heap to show cars over the years. I did a full custom on my Wideglide a few years ago. Am building a '68 RS/SS Camaro convertible for a friend right now (against my will).

I'm just at a stage in my life right now with work and kids, I just don't have the time and patience for another project. I would rather drop the bike off and go pick it up with my mods already done. I just wanted to do some research and not get ripped off. My indy always treats me right but I still check his prices from time to time.

Like OP stated, I don't have the time or patience either to make the switch, my dealer is at $70 per hour. I would rather cough up the $$$ and have them do it right. But my dilemma is.....I don't like the look of the MBB higher than the fairing. The 10" look sweet and they are in line with the fairing. I have a couple of months to ponder.

Yea, I'm not looking for apes. I'm looking for comfort and while I'm at it I'll go with the best styling. 10's will be plenty for me.

Do it yourself. Save the dough and gain the experience and knowledge of your scoot AND trust me, you'll enjoy it much more!

....a bitch, yes pullling the wires on MBBs is a BITCH. maybe split the job..do the break down, pay to get the wires pulled, and then do the reassembly yourself.... if you are a decent mechanic you can do it. get a service manual...it will walk you through it

8.0 for labor is the standard quote for this job.
