Has anybody tried traveling with there lap top in a hard saddlebag on a long trip?
Keep it in the soft case?
Wrap it in extra foam?
Leave it at home HD forum is not that important?
Wrapped a towel around the leather computer bag. Never had any problems. HDF is the most important thing to your trip. Ship your clothes via FedEx to your destination. But HDF...don't leave home without it!
Dude, here's the thing...you bought the Bike to get the frig' away from that kind of sh*t, if I see anyone carryin a lap-top while ridin I will go "Kevorkian" on their ***...
I bought a laptop so I can take it with me on the bike. I will put it in the tour pak in a soft case. Should be fine. I have Delorme installed and a GPS receiver so if I ever get lost I can find myself!!! Plus I can keep up with the email and HDForums.
Done it quite often. I carry mine in it's soft sided carry bag and never had any problems ....so far anyway.
Ride to get away from my lap top?No, I ride my bike for work and carry the laptop with me.
I'm taking mine with me on my trip in June. I'm going to bore everyone with a daily update and list of HDF members I hook up with each stop. Starting on June 8th so get your plans made now to party with the Sarge from MI to FL and back.
I've traveled with mine in my SAC bag... works great, can check email, and I can access the cameras in my business from anywhere, so even when my employess know i'm gone, they know i'm still there
