Am going to do the antenna relocation because I have tried 3 in-fairing antennas with no luck. They all have static when my LED headlight is on. As for the license plate mount, I want to go with over-the-taillight because I recently put on a moco LED taillight with window on top. Anyone know of a good laydown bracket that fits above the tail-light?
Guzz,
I am getting ready to do this and any and all help is appreciated, my question is,,,, do i need to get the wiring harness because i figured on using the deutsch connectors also? I have everything i need with the exception of the deustsch connectors and the cb/am,fm-relocation kits. Also will want or need ideas for the license plate bracket (i do have the one that came with the parts i purchased) Anyway any input you have would be great----note: im not real concerned about relocating or using the CB.
The seat really finishes the look. I may sell the mustang and go solo, if interested pm, me. For the time being I just mounted my plate under the tail light using 3M trim tape, cheep and ez, even curved it to fit the fender, been on for 1000 miles, might just leave it this way.
I did the detech last winter, couldn't be happier! I also replaced the stock 13" shocks with 12 "SG shocks. lowered the center of gravity, love the ride. I've only put the Pak back on 2 or 3 times, just for long trips. I did find a SG seat on the "forum" for 80 bucks! there are deals out there! I also put SG rear light on, didn't like the looks of the wide bar with the Pak off.

Not sure which parts you purchased but if you bought the Quick Disconnect kit from Harley it already includes the AM/FM relocation kit and a 3 pin deutsch connector for the Tour-Pak lights. I bought connectors for the speaker pods as well, but they are not necessary. You can pull the cable from inside the pod and there is a socket there you can unplug.
The hairiest part is the wiring. I was pretty nervous about messing with it but just took my time and it went pretty smoothly. Good luck...

Thank you for the info, i seen that you originally ordered a HD wiring harness, so was it needed since you did the wiring as per the thread for doing the wiring explains? And yes i have the Hd disconnect set but purchased it from a local and he forgot to take off the relocation kits for the antenna's before he got rid of his bike. So i quess what im asking is---if i buy the deutsh connectors as per that wiring thread and the am/fm relocation kit do you think that will complete my job?

If his kit was missing only the antenna relocation parts, then yes, that is all you should need.

As for the license plate relocation kit, I bought the relocation kit from SoftBrake, a cheap chrome frame off ebay, and some LED tag bolts from CustomDynamics.
I originally bought a LED frame from CustomDynamics but it did not fit under the stock light bar. Also was not too impressed with the wiring on it.

I also did the kit, and went with the antenna relocation parts that come in the kit, I kinda like my dual antennas, and every "hidden" or aftermarket antenna I've ever tried sucked.
