With the TW222 (or the SE 204), can you safely 'tour' with these? All day, big trips, 20k miles per year, how will these cams effect the longevity of the motor? To bump the torque like that, there is obviously more stress on the internals right? So longevity would have to take some sort of a hit???
I have been contemplating cams in my 96ci and longevity of the internals is one of my sticking points. I do not want to be in the middle if one of my trips with a kaboom.
I like both of these cams but currently running the 204's in my bike. The 222's have more lift than the 204's but are not any more lift than the SE255's either. Both the 204's and the TW222's have the same intake closing which is why I think the 222's were designed that way because the 204's were and are such a good cam.
Either of these cam's wll serve you very well and would not hurt the longevity of your engine but the 204's are probably $100 cheaper.
