I'm thinking of having speakers installed in lowers and an amp in fairing. Aside from motor work what shoul I upgrade as everything is getting taken apart? Gauges? Lights? Communication system? Rear tour pack speakers?
Wow new frame??? I am surprised it wasn't just totaled out and replaced.

I really like the looks of stretched tanks but they really limit what seat you can run. My bikes usually go through a few major revamps, to satisfy my want for a new one, before getting a new one. Having to have a cu$tom $eat made every revamp, steers me away from the stretched tank.

Good point on seats with tank. Im going to go with the hawg wired six pack and another set of the 6.5 speakers for the lowers. I hope that will be enough sound at highway speed

I went with Arc audio system, and have had two buddies change theirs to it. I have the floor board extensions and have no issues with them dragging....yet. I can't tell from your pics, but the fairing mounted wind deflectors are a useful addition. Keep us posted, nothing like helping someone else spend money!

Arc audio is tough to beat,

The issue with the seat was the reason I did not go with a stretched tank, as I run with three different ones, what I did was cut the Kuryakan heat shields to the contour of paint scheme and painted to match, covers the gap between the seat and tank, you should consider big time painting the frame since your starting with a clean pallet that will make it pop. Enjoy the build

ericl-absolutely awesome looking ride! Whom or what does the "Haywood" represent? I ride with the Hammock seat (it's very comfortable for both the rider and the passenger), I'm still looking for a good comfortable solo seat, (I used to swap the seats all the time on my previous bike)- Solo all week long for work, and two-up on the weekends.

What systems did your buddies have before switching to ARC?

Thanks, that's an inside joke, when parked most people never notice, I have the hammock seat (butt ugly in my opinion) extremely comfortable, use it for long rides with the wife, short rides with the wife are with SG OEM (she allows me to keep a little cool on short rides, Solo seat is Danny Grey Big Solo, firm but comfortable, since you are familiar with the Hammock lets call it a 9 on the comfort scale, OEM seat a 4, the Danny Grey would be a 7. Good for me around 300-400 miles. I actually envy what you are going to be able to do with a clean pallet. My build was about 3 years and very enjoyable. Now that I'm finished looking for an old vintage indian or HD project bike,

Sorry Nevrl8 I think I got you and Hog crossed, so for you you it's the seat and for you hog it's the envy of your build.

ericl-All good here.

hog-One friend had a 2011 stock system and went with Arc audio. The second had Hawg tunes installed two years ago. I'm not sure if my set up was that much better than his, but this past summer while riding around and cranking out some tunes, he decided he wanted to swap out his amp and put in the Arc "mini". The new amp is to be installed this spring.
