Looks like it is time to write all of my representatives, suggest the same for everyone. Perhaps cash for clunkers didn't get enough older vehicles off the road, now the goobermint will just cause such expensive repairs that the older vehicles will just be junked. Replacing ALL of my rolling stock is NOT something I had budgeted for.
It's actually pretty simple, don't buy the E15. If your stupid enough to not do your research and use it in your vehicle then you have no one to blame but yourself. Kinda like the sign at McDonald's telling you the coffee is very hot. Use your brain.

I worry about the guy before me and the regular or E-15 he pumped. Also my boat is E-0. Just about all the fuel around here is E-10.
I think the E15 label at the pump should be a Red Flag to most not sharing a brain to check into it before pumping it into their tanks. But there are some that have to have flashing lights and sirens to tell them. I know common sense would tell me not to put this in my car, but unfortunately common sense isn't very common these days. I think the residual left in the pump from a prior E15 purchase would be very minimal and doubt it would cause any issues. However, the right thing to do would be to put in a separate pump for it. My Tahoe is Flex Fuel and on a trip to Colorado we tried some E85. The lower price no where near compensated for the lack in mileage. It also says right in the owners manual not to swap back and forth between E85 and regular frequently. I never buy the E85 any more.
KFC... problem is it won't be long before you will only be able to find ethanol altered gas. Hard to find ANYTHING without 10% in most stations. It's part of the government plan. They WANT ALL vehicles to be replaced older the 2012 for EPA and fuel mileage reasons. They could care less about the cost impact on you or I.
