Congrats on the new bike. What mechanical problems did you incur with you Heritage, if any, during the 100k. Just curious because I bought an 04 with 5k on it, and have added 2500 miles within the first 2 months of owning it.
Had a bmw that I rode to both Yuma and Havasu twice-a-month for work, and, the wife and I, rode Yarnell and the back-side of Prescott (89), once a month with a "mixed" group of riders. (appx 20k/yr)
I thought the nonstop riding was out of my system. Apparently that is not the case...lol I love riding my EG. It's so fun now that I have installed a rockin stereo. I find that little gremlin coming out again, scheduling rides and riding for work purposes. My concern is the longevity - after reading multiple issues at different stages, for example; cam tensioners at 20k, wheel bearings at 40k, etc. I would never hang up my e-glide for another bmw. Just out of curiosity I ask the question.
Sierra Vista is a nice little town, with the Base and all. Did you buy the bike with high mileage, or perhaps work out of town and rode to work.
One of my favorite places to go is Bisbee. What a cool town with all of the houses (and roads) stacked on the hillside, and painted all different colors. Every time we're there, I have the same comment - " It would be a bummer to get drunk, fall off your porch, and roll all the way to your neighbors front door". lol
Bought the Heritage new with zero miles on it. Fortunately I am retired and am able to ride at will.. LOL on falling off a Bisbee porch.. Love that town also. You have to check out the Bisbee Breakfast Club restaurant. Great food and atmosphere. biker friendly!
