The wife insisted on getting the apes today, and now I need some help from you guys. Where is the best place to order the cables, wiring extensions and front brake line. HD stealer says to go +8 (he suggested to order them on line as he would have to order everything and save myself a trip back there). So can you guys help a brother out? Many thanks!
I got all the stuff I needed for the last three ape kits I installed from Johnny Vaughn at HD Parts. All has worked well and the parts were dead on. Just put the 14" WO 572s on my Road King
I installed my 12.5" Apes in June/July, and ordered my brake line and clutch cable thru Dennis Kirk... at a great price and free shipping.
(This took some searching to find out exactly what I was after.)
I extended the wires with a spool of wire from an auto parts store, soldered them and used heat shrink tubing to finish.
