Whoa, Crofton. A little touchy aren't ya? I was talking about the vagueness of your original post. Since you added more specific information, your post makes a lot more sense. I can tell you that the pricing seems to be in line with most parts and work through the dealership. Contrary to many opinions, I do not consider the dealer as stealers. Hell, they are in business and we want to them to stay in business. I do most of my work myself because I enjoy it and I like the freedom of choosing my parts and not being limited to brands that any specific shop (indy or HD) carries. I also like my own quality control better than anybody elses.
As far as pricing - your quote seems to be in line. Now, if you want opinions on the parts used for your stage one upgrade, I am sure you can get a dizzying array of opinions on that question, too.
That looks like WAY too much money in parts. My Rinehart TD were $689 and my PC was $277.

To answer some of your questions:
[ol][*]total cost $1,808.25 (labor $350. included in price)[*]I can't hold a screw driver[*]The dealer owes me $735. (they had a discount if purchased in Jan and of course they forgot to deduct that from the closing)[*]PC Touring 2007 $351.45[*]Exhaust $854.95[*]EFI Kit $132.95[*]Gasket Kit, Washer, Plug about $26.00[/ol]
<Whoa, Crofton. A little touchy aren't ya?
Nah, not at all! Just responding to your question, no intent on coming across as "toughy". Just very new to this game, havent been on a bike since 73, when I sold my 650cc Triumph.Too friggin crazy on it and had three little rug rats running around the house, they certainly didn't need a dead father.
Retired and now time to travel, therefore thebagger, this is turning out to be very expensive hobby, oh well can't take it with me.Your choice of "dizzying array" is very accurate!
Tru Duals have to be one of the best looking exhaust out there [clampless no less] but they are one of the worst for performance. Decide on what you want, looks or performance. Also think of future mods,[which YOU WILL DO, owning a Harley] it's cheaper to buy once than change parts later.
Hey, I'm with Jeepster when it comes to what will give you performance. I have both TruDuals and a 2-1Supertrapp and the 2-1 is the best. Also sounds better. When it's time for the EGlide to move up to a 95,she'll be getting a 2-1 system.
Dang, two great looking bikes, the 2001 has the TruDuals black end caps. Wildbill, again being a novice and using Google to search for performance exhaust for largest power and torque increase available; TruDuals comes to the top of the list.
Therefore a NOVICE such as myself is up the creek without a paddle. You guys (on this forum) have experience with the product and the dealer who is suppose to represent NOVICES such as myself are providing another path. Just like my friggin tranny level question: manuals states one thing and the friggin dealerships states another. Tomorrow I will visit Eastern Permormance and talk to their techs about the tranny level question.
Dang... time to go watch the game and root for the BEST team...

Rush 2in slip-ons, PCIII, K&N Rk-3909. Purchased from Fuelmoto for under $800. Wicked deep bass sound. I can understand if you want the true dual look but I would look at saving some $$$ and doing the stage 1 yourself. Use the dealer $ credit for chrome or other accessories. Jus my .02
Yeah thats a lil high for some exhaust and a efi controller. The internet is your friend...search for cheaper prices!!!BTW the dealer can get anything out of the Drag spec.,dennis kirk ,and j&p cycles catelogs and dont let them charge you for shipping cost!!!!

first things first: screwdrivers... pointy side out. that was not so tough was it. I'm not knockin ya. It's a lot easier than most think. People dont realize that you can order online and install your own parts. then worst case limp over to the stealer for dyno+map.
some people cant work on this stuff and wish they could where as some people can't work on this stuff and it don't bother them at all. which are you? If you are the first, well, I think there are enough good people here to dial you in.
