So I went to install my new PM grips yesterday. Started on the throttle side. Got the grip fitted onto the teeth and it just spun and spun. Went to take it back off and the whole grip came off the sleeve like it wasn't glued properly. Took them back to my local dealer and had them order another set. But now I am a little leery of things to come. If I had this problem from the start what is gonna happen if I get a good set and they sit in the sun for a bit. Should I be worried about PM quality or did I prolly just get a bad set.
Monday morning, rough week end and the glue gun missed one. Happens. That is some quality expensive grips. Should PM them for this. They stand behind their stuff.
About oh...four years ago, I purchased calipers from PM. Had some issues. They were right there with me the whole way, until we got things sorted out. I thought their Customer Service, and Customer Care, were great. I'd PM them so they're aware of the problem. That'll help others who might face the same situation in the future, too.
Here is my PM experience. Bought new rims and rotors at Myrtle Beach at the 2011 rally...nice chunk of change but I loved how they looked. After about a month I noticed the front wheel had a vibration under braking that got worse as time went on. When I finally took it into my Indy they told me the rotors were warped and it was from the installation...the rotors were not torqued in the proper order and just a fast "in and out" installation. I get it...Rally time and lots of customers..but even with that being said...PM needs to stand by the people they have doing their work. My Indy is also a PM distributor thank goodness.....but even then they were giving them the run around..sent the rotors back to PM....they measured the tolerances....sat on it...it took me sending and email to PM basically telling them I would never buy another PM Product again and I would do my best to get the word out to everyone I knew....my email also mentioned other wheel companies...basically had to get ugly which is always my LAST resort. Finally this seemed to get some attention and they sent my Indy new rotors...they were installed correctly and now work fine and look great. As far as the products themselves I think they are all quality and you just got a bad grip. I hope my warranty/installation issue was a one off thing.
