I picked up my new ride today. Traded in my 05 FXD for an 02 EG CLassic.
I had some questions from several people wanting to know why would i trade for a 3 YO bike.
After I rode around and showed them this afternoon, they understood.
I will post a picture as soon as I can take one - I promise.
02 Black EG Classic
K&N
Power Commander
Kerker Slip ons (sound good)
Pin striping
Digital Oil temp guage
All the chrome a man could ever ask for. I estimate about 2 grand in chrome addons.
Driver backrest
Everything is in showroom condition.
19500 miles.
New tires
I could not pass it up.
Normally at my local shop they keep all the used bikes in the rear ( in a nice area), but this one made it to the showroom floor.
I understand your trade. Like I've said before-I've been riding baggers for years and will never go back. Sounds like you got a great bike. Ran across a deal like yours about a month ago (04 Ultra) but couldn't make myself get rid of the glide.
I will take that picture this afternoon. I promise.
I tell you, it's like riding a whole different machine. I have to watch out fo the antenae though. I went through the carport and heard it clacking on the joists overhead.
SOmewhere down the road, I may pick up a used Dyna again to play with and chop.
I couldn't agree more - I bought an 05 softail and quickly (Not quick enough!!!) knew I had to have a bagger - I went waaaaaay out on the limb and bought my EG Classic and then nervously waited until I sold my softail - It was a long 6 weeks but the softail did sell and I ended up not getting dinged too bad at all - Loving my ride now and know I did the right thing for me - Good luck with your ride and I know you will end putting a bunch more comfortable mile on it!
