Has anyone made their own relocation kit and maybe done a DIY thread?

I've searched but don't see one.

I want to do my own and not spend a ridiculous amount of money for a plate of steel with a bunch of holes drilled in it.

Seems like such a simple thing to do.

 

"Dawg" has written up the $5, 2 drill-hole, 30 minute 3rd position mod.

A buddy of mine did it but I don't have the drawing. His bike is a classic so he didn't have to deal with wires.

 

That's what I'm looking for, where do I find it?
