09 Ultra , has anyone found a nice way to move the tour pack back just a bit without paying big bucks for the relocation kits , The pack is never coming off , would just like a little more room for the passenger ( wife )

If you search you will find where someone made their own plate and posted drawings and measurements. I actually think it's on this forum somewhere but don't remember fir sure. I needed more than an inch, more like 2"-2.5", and spent the money on a premade one. I liked using a plate rather than just drilling more holes, it seems much sturdier.
One thing though, moving the pack back will create a gap between the seat and the tour pack that can be uncomfortable for the passenger. I also bought a filler piece that you cannot really tell is there but the better half likes it a lot. She likes the extra room as well.
I drilled new holes in my pak and moved it back. This is on an 08. I'm sure it must be possible on yours as well.
Dawg posted years back detailed instructions- you could search for.
this'll cost you $5 and take 40 minutes
but first!
the tour pak is shipped from HD with the TP in the forward of 2 possible positions- the dealer is supposed to move it rear-ward during prep, but this is sometimes skipped.
so look
Thanks my pack is in the rear position , the rear two holes would be easy to drill but its the front two that i question , there is 3/4 " from the edge of the base plate to the existing bolts so if i go through the base a 1/2" is all i gain
There is still room to the front of the pack but if i drill there its just through the pack itself

I bought a product from a place on east coast, it required no drilling, was 1/2 the price of George Andersons and was super simple to install. Its on my 2012 now. It was about $100. It allowed for multiple positions too.
For the life of me I cannot find the receipt or the company. I thought I even saved the package.
I looked at DK but did not want to 'drill holes'. Product I bought did not require them. Kuryakyn one is way too heavy/bulky and I've read of folks having issues w/ them (cant recall details)
I plan to move the pak back again this week, will look at the part and see if the company put their name on it. It was the best solution I found for moving the tourpak backwards (without drilling).
