Default the cold!

finally broke down and picked up a windshield at a local swap meet the 20 degree windchill will freeze you here in ga not really feeling the look but im not feeling the price on detach fairing. I reckon thats enough going on about that my question is is there any somewhat more hotrod/stylish looking shields that wont make me look like im 70 ( no offense to anybody that is 70) bugs dont bother me just the wind would a dhorty blacked out windshield still keep most of the wind off my chest

Honestly, to me...I think it fits your bike fine. As for other types of windshields, I've seen a lot smaller one but again, to me, it would look odd on your bike. You might Google "Harley windshields" and see what comes up.

I think the stock windshiled goes with the RKC also. That real Classic look.

When my wife talked me into a tourer ('94 road king) 20 years ago I figured I could just leave the detachable windshield off. Turns out I never took it off??? Call me a geezer wimp, but that shield makes for a much better ride! I even got a shield on my dirt bike??????

You can have comfort our you can have style. Unfortunately you can't have both...i ride in the teens here in New Hampshire and wear a neoprene face mask...makes a huge difference.

I just put a Memphis Shades fairing on my bike and waiting on delivery of an LRS flat top shield for it although it came with a shield. Prior to the fairing I had a 17" LRS dark tint shield on my Road King and loved it. And yes it does work with stock hardware. It is much better at protecting against the wind but where it really shines is in the rain. Does a great job of keeping the rain off of you. I would sell you my shield but may want to one take the fairing off and have my shield on.

For the shield to do its job properly, it needs to be the right height at least. So many want to go as short as possible for the looks, but it defeats the purpose of having the shield at all.
Maybe consider one like ours with the re-curve, and tinted for better looks. Makes a huge difference IMO.
