That is what I have (guess I left that out). I have to lift my head about 4 or more inches above the shield before I feel the bare wind. And the dark tint looks good. But like LRS warned, don't go too short. You want to be able to see OVER it but still have protection. 17" is perfect for me at about 5' 10" but my Mustang seat makes a difference. Best to call them. And make sure to get any discounts available. Mention you are on HDF.
I'm 6'3 all body 30 inch inseam reason I love my mustang seat but this shield splits my vision reason I'm looking at different ones it'll be coming off in spring will a windshield work with 18 gangster apes?
I have tried several different height windsheilds over the years and in my opinion taller is better. The sheild is not there for looks but for function so why not get the most out of it ? The first time that sucker takes a rock hit or a muthaphockin red hot cancer stick tossed by a loser right in front of you and hits the sheild in front of your face you will suddenly love it, plus it really makes your rides more comfortable. Another thing that is prety cheap to buy to help with cold is the chap things that go on your crashbar and you can also add a fork air deflector that mounts between the forks and directs the wind downward, it is amazing ow much a difference that makes too. It really cuts down on the updrafts and I found that it made a really big difference in the rai being blown up and getting inside the screen and on me. You can pick up the deflector at the dealer for 20-25 bucks and it is chrome or black.
I put a Clearview on my RK last year, it is recurved so I could go with a slightly shorter shield that I could look over and still be protected from wind and rain. I got a slightly smoked gray color looked good on the bike to.
FYI, if you're looking for crash bar chaps (bigheadted & bigboy92 mentioned)... I use them all the time in MN, mostly to keep the cold off my legs and feet, but they're extremely handy in rain of course. Anyway, here's the best-fitting, US-made version: http://www.leadermotorcycle.com/harl...n-rain-guards/
