Yeah, that's what I said.....now look at my signature [8D] I had theFuelpakand it workedgreat for me until I wanted to go with cams then I had to sell it and go with the PCIII.
No doubt about it, the PCIII is much more configurable than the FuelPak. But I've been running the V&H Oval Slip-Ons, FuelPak, and SE Stage 1 Intake and have been very happy with it. As long as you stay with the fairly limited equipment configurations that V&H supports (all of their pipes and a dozen or so other brands), then the FuelPak should serve you well. For me, it was an easy "plug and play" upgrade that has served me very well.
Wow, I am buying a PCIII this week from fuelmoto and rinehart TD's. Am I going to have to worry about an extended start? Seems likeEFI takes a few seconds longer to start the a carb any way. My sporty hit the throttle two times, pull the enrichner out, I fires right up.
Added Techlusion TFI fuel controller when new. Added A/C, true duals with Supertrapp slip ons, Crane 6000 cam and Zippers tall filter element. If I went to a radical cam I might have to change but my bike runs great with good fuel milage and I never need to see a dyno. Cheap too.
Best thing about a fuel pack over a PCIII is it does not effect the starting up as the PCIII does, You get a little better performance and ajustability on the PCIII but it also makes your bike have to turn the engine over several times before it fires. The fuel pack starts first turn like the stock ecm does.
???? That's true???? There's no solution???
None Ive heard of, many posts on it a while back, aggravating as hell to me, Ive been tempted to switch back to the fuel pack or go with the SERT to get back those quick start ups.
Sanaga - you can purchase the FuelPak from a variety of vendors. I purchased from Real Hog Accessories (www.realhog.com). Check the Vance & Hines website to see if the Thunderheader is supported with a map - I see the Thunderheader 2-1 and Thundercone Slip-Ons, but don't know if either of those are your application.
