The StreetGlide has been out since 06 and I have an 07 with 4000 miles now...
What's your opinion that should come standard on this bike... Let's not get nutty on engine size
or get into the CVO options... well maybe some...
But let's face it, it's a stripped down, lowered ULTRA.
In your opinion, what additions would make the StreetGlide, (the most popular motorcycle HD produces) BETTER
for 2008...
Here's some of my suggestions...
Custom turn signals with FOG lamps (not driving lamps)
Chrome Hand Controls
Hydrolic Clutch
True Dual Exhaust, with on demand dumps
Short Riders Backrest. One that hits you at the tailbone, just to keep youfrom sliding on acceleration..
Redline tires, that to me is just slick... Like the old hotrods...
Faring lowers, and the "caps" will have driving lights molded into them...
And let's ballance the look of both sides of the engine.. More bling on the left..
I've been kicking around another breather on that side...
And last but not least, a removable tourbag 3/4 the size of the KingPac With brake lights..
Many like it AS-IS, you can have all the stuff you want, just buy and put it on, for HD to do it, everyone would have to pay Ultras 24K price tag for a street glide. Oh and its got tons more than a standard, full tank chrome, custom floorboards and pegs, rear L.E.D. fender treatment, short windshield, lowered suspension, more chrome, more gauges, radio-cd, color matched bag latches and so on.
I would like to see a custom (to the street glide)shift linkage, a rear brake lever that had decent chrome on it, and something to cover up that ugly voltage regulator...everything else I would want to do myself
rear chrome passenger floor boards, cruise control, streamliner shifter pegs (i dont understand why they didnt raise the price of the bike 30$ and just finish the shifter pegs). anything else i would leave up to the individual.
