If your savy enough, you could do the rear auxiliary modification yourself by following these directions as found on the hdbomm site. It is a document that they have set up to download.

Garmin is correct. All Zumo's will not work with the HD NAV Interface. The Road Tech Zumos are licensed by HD, through Garmin. They have different firmware and/or software that allows them to work with the HD NAV interface. They are physically the same so I'm sure there is a way to "update" a non- Road Tech to function with the HD NAV interface.

However, I suspect it's a licensing / contract issue between HD and Garmin and that is why Garmin will not provide the fix for a non-Road Tech Zumo.

You may not be able to find a fix, other than the purchase of a Road Tech Zumo.

THANKS!
However if I follow this correctly I will STILL have to listen to the Zumo 665 only through the AUX port. In doing this I do not have access then to the XM Radio or the Harley Radio, or my iPod.

What I am looking to do is Connect the Zumo to the HK radio so that I hear it through the radio system like all my other devices (xm,iPod,AM,FM,WB,AUX).

SO I need something (dongle?) that will all my Harmon Kardon to transmit Zumo commands.

More ideas??

thanks in advance

Default Zumo 660 installed today

I finished install of RT Zumo 660 on my 07 Ultra today. Added the NIM and everything works as expected. The NIM has an male audio plug that plugs into an audio out plug from the Zumo mount. No need to run a cable to aux plug on HK unless you want to listen to mp3s on an SD card in the Zumo. I left it off. GPS instructions come through the speakers and/or headset as expected. Would like it better if Bluetooth supported audio in from my iPhone. And if true cell phone integration worked through the headset.

Great. Now if I could figure out how to make my Non-Road Tech Zumo 665 work like that. I figure the Motorco made a mod just for the Road Tech. Mine does not work with the NIM.
