Default Wheel/Tire Combo Issues?

Just wondering if any bagger owners running a 21" front with a Metzler 160/60-18 rear set-up has/had any issues with wobble.

Thanks for the input,

Nails

Hey- I just installed a 21 on the front and 18 on the rear, and it is probably the best thing I have done to this bike so far. It is a 2002 rk police, and it makes this thing look awesome. I have built and ridden choppers, sport bikes and your run of the mill softails, and it has not changed the handling of the bike what so ever. I did install a 1" lowering kit in the front and 1" lower 412's HD in the rear. Would not have done it any other way!!!!!!

amfa118,

Are you running a 160/60 on the rear?

I am running a 140, but I still have alot of room, so when I wear this tire out I WILL go bigger. The front is the 120, and it looks good. When I get some more time I will post pics.

I went through this when I bought my setup. I called HOGPRO (HD Forum vendor) and asked him the same question. He told me they would not mount and ship a 160 for fear of "High Speed Wobble". I know there are some out there but I went with his advice. I ended up with the 21/120 and a 18/150 rear Lemans wheel from Hogpro. Both are great and no problems with handleing. I did however have the 21 rub the inside top of my fender a bit at higher speeds and didnt realize it till I went to swap out the fender for a custom and saw the rubbing.
