Alarm problem and question
Recently added the audible alarm module to my Ultra Classic during the winter. We actually had some warm weather here in Pa.and the ice melted enough to get the bike out of the garage and go for an 80 mile ride. Two miles into my ride the alarm started wailing away and there was no indication on the dash with a flashing key icon or anything else. The bike has been on a battery tender all winter so the backup battery in the alarm module should have had a sufficient charge. I had to pull off the road,unbolt the saddle bag,remove the side cover and disconnect the alarm. Even then the alarm was still going off so I had to remove the module and wrap it up in my rainsuit inside the saddlebag do silence it. Does anyone have any ideas what made this happen? When I first installed the alarm it seemed to be working properly,it would chirp upon arming and disarming of the system as well as the turn signals flashing. If you moved the bike while it was armed and the fob was not nearby the alarm would go off. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm only guessing but possibly the connection for the smart siren was compromized? If the bike didn't shut down that meens that the security system (turn signal module) is working properly and that the smart siren module is sensing that it was somehow disconnected from the bike illegally?
