Default Simple green?

I've heard mixed emotions about this stuff. My question is I have black grime on my motor and soap and water will not brig it of my silver. Will sg be safe for my bike.. I don't plan on using it on my paint any other park besides around the motor an maybe on the brake calibers

i certainly wouldn't use it on paint but I've used this stuff for years for everything from the motor to the wheels (chrome and brushed) to cleaning stains off my concrete floor.

For things like the motor I use a high concentrate, 3/4 of a typical windex type bottle to 1/4 water. Spray it, let it soak for about 10 minutes, then wash and brush the motor.

I wouldn't use SG on paint, I cut it 50/50 and hit the rest of the bike without problems

I only use it to clean my whitewall tires. Never let it dry on anything. It's way too caustic for me for anything else.

Its great stuff.....definitely don't use it on paint though. The only place my bike gets real nasty is under the oil filter, behind the voltage regulator. I use Gumout Foamy engine cleaner there. Thats the only spot I use it on. Everything else is Simple Green.

I do not think regular SG is for use on aluminum. SG makes a special formula for that shown here:http://www.simplegreen.com/solutions...query=aluminum

I use Ajax dish washing liquid (non-bleach version) and a brush to clean the greasy spots...
It works great, is cheap, and I don't have to worry about getting it on my paint

White wall cleaner unless diluted really well for other non-painted parts.
