Default Engine Ping

Hello, I have an 07 Ultra Classic with SE slipons, SE AC, PCIII with the correct setting from Dynojet. Problem, after I have ridden the bike for awhile and it warms up it will ping upon excelleration ( Iam not lugging it). Not sure what to try. Any Ideas? Thanks AL

Are you getting top end "clicking" (valve noise) as well? Haven't had any problems with my 07 "yet" (3K miles), but I did have some pinging issues with my 03 and it started out as a light pinging and then very noticeable clicking as the engine got hotter. It ended up being the cam chain tensioner wearing improperly - started right around 10K miles. Dealer replaced it as a warranty item.

And it's nothing a good set ofgear driven cams won't fix either!

Air-fuel ratio is to lean or there is to much ignition advance. The PCIII needs to be adjusted to correct those.

Yep. Was thinkin' it might have been a low-octane issue, but not if he's runnin' 91.

i'll have to try and check out the program. Or take it to the dyno. It sounds like the tin is being hit with rocks. Thanks for all the info. AL
