I will never buy another. Mine is a Mustang. Between the bag lids catching them and my Gerbings dual controller case now tearing at another I have had it. I hope to be able to afford to be able to send it off to Mustang for a $250.00 restoration before long and WILL NOT get studs. Just a heads up in case anyone is trying to decide.
Yea Mike i hear you...Friggin seat jewelry...Had a buddy who had a backrest pad with them,Dint take long for the O'lady to catch her boot on one and that was it..just makes a bike look cheap and trashy..like those stick on flames...(well unless they are Official Harley Stick on Flames..LOL) Flaming the flames

Easy decision for me, they are ugly problem solved lol
Sorry to hear that you are having trouble though, good luck with your resto
I've have a studded Mustang on my '95 EG and never had any interference issues with bag lids, or anything else. And Mustang would've exchanged it for a non stud if you'd have shipped it back unused and undamaged.

had a studded seat on my old flt, just cause that's what was on it when i bought it. I agree, they do end up looking pretty crappy once a stud or 2 ends up missing. Just prefer a plain old leather seat myself i guess.

I appreciate the offer Larry but some time ago I contacted Mustang about this. At the same time I told them about a buddy that had one of their seats with buttons and one came up missing. They were really cool and sent us each buttons and studs along with super glue and a couple nice hats. I wasn't slamming Mustang in any way as I think they are a great company. Just bringing this issue to light to give a heads up in case anyone was trying to decide. When I got your Crotch Cooler I got it studded to match. No problems with that!!!
