Need help with throttle cable routing - large headlamp nacelle
Can anyone post some pics of how their throttle cables are routed? I put new ones on and it just doesn't seem right. These are stock cables for the 2001 Road King, with WO513 handlebars. They just seem to stick up too much and kinda bind when I turn the bars. Here's what I got:
It looks ok from what I can tell but I really can't see ****....pics are too small and the shield is in the way. Did you order stock size cables or go over?
I have a stock 01 roadking my cables go behind the handlebars at the point where they enter the headlight nacelle( next to the bar clamps ) and touch the back of the headlight inside before they turn down the frame to the carb.
Yes, stock cables from the dealer.
I think I will need to route it through the headlamp nacelle; seems a bit strange, but what the heck.
Of course they go through the nacelle along with the front brake cable. Same way they came apart unless somebody had them seriously screwed when you got it.
