Bike came with HD set and bought an IMC set for 1/2 helmet. I have used both and could be 20+ years of working heavy equipment but I could not tell the difference. About the only difference was the impact on my wallet. Both my wife and I like having the ability of pointing out things as we tour and listening to music. She perfers her music LOUD while I do not and the headsets allow us to do this.

IMC work great for the price. Put the wire on the left side, I can wear 'em all day in comfort...

We use the HD headsets and have for years. Love them and really like the music/intercom setup that comes right from the factory.

I just picked up my '13 ultra with the harley headset. I'll experiment with setting it up in an Outlaw half helmet and post my results.

Recently we switch to 3/4 helmets with a face shield. My HD headset fit fine but had to buy a new IMC one for the wife's helmet. It works so good and is more comfortable than the HD one, that I am saving my pennies to buy one for my helmet. IMC rocks and having the ability to talk passenger to driver or bike to bike (CB) at the same time makes group rides better.
