Guys Hello...
I'm helping a buddy restore a 99 ultra and the Hand controls covers need to be replaced...Turn signal, radio, cruise, ECT...Have the controls and or covers changed from the newer years? I have a chance to get some off a 09 and wondering if they match up..As Always TIA!!!!! Tim :-)

After looking at my 09 Manual here's what I have to offer as an educated guess...Not scientific at all however it should get you started in the right direction...
On the left side Clams the are each IDed with a 96,96a, or a 98 which I believe all signifies that they are interchangeable thru 09 and probably newer...

On the right hand its different
The tops are 96 however the lowers change to 08

One other thing that it seems I remember I read was that at one time the actual plug changed which connected to the wiring harness...Don't remember which year it was

FWIW you might look at a pre 07 manual and the clams lowers on the right might go back to 96...

As stated above, the lower part on the right hand control will be different from 08 and up as there are no throttle cables to enter so that portion won't work. Other than that you can use the switch caps and switch covers from 96 up through.

The part can be drilled out and tapped for use on an older bike. Did it on my friends Bad Boy when he wanted the newer round controls.
