Keep it stock except for
Exhaust,
Floorboard Extentions,
seat,
chrome front end,
painted inner fairing
and maybe handle bars if yours are not comfy.
LED headlights and auxillary lights if you ride at night.

Congrats, you will love the comforts of your new ride. You want to keep it mostly stock, me thinks that may not work out as planned. But then again, if you do, it will be a rare machine indeed.

Welcome aboard!! I agree with Ryan and Texas fatboy about keeping it stock except I think their lists are a bit light (you'll see). Definitely a pic or two and sounds like the clock is close to expiring. At least you don't have to wait for six inches of salt to clear and a 20 degree temp increase to start riding it appears. Yeah, read the threads on dropping a bike (fairly recent one going if ya search). Not a big deal but if you can avoid our mistakes you will have no problems.

I rode choppers all my life till a few years ago. Once i got on my road king, you couldn't talk me in to getting back on anything but a touring bike. I still smile every time i get on that big fat bike. I long ago took back everything i ever said about geezer glides and ***** buttons... (electric start) etc.

Congrats on the soon to be new bike man!
