I don't think the RG is quite there as an old man bike. Probably don't see as many youngsters riding them because of the coin involved. Glad you like em, they are nice rides, enjoy.

Man, I'm 40 and I'm starting to do "old man" things to my bike I would've thought I'd never do (yet). My RK came with a driver backrest and I thought "Really? Why?" Then I rode with it, and LOVE it. I bought it used and it didn't have the windshield. I thought "EEhhh maybe I'll get one eventually." I got one and it pretty much NEVER comes off. And just recently I've been putting together the right parts to put a 2 up detach king tour pack with wrap around backrest for the wifey. As early as 1 year ago I woulda NEVER thought of a trunk. Now I'm chomping at the bit to get one. I'm with ya. Just not chronologically. LOL!!

Your taste in the style of a shark nose bike only precedes your maturity as a 10 yr. old considers having a milk mustache makes him a man.

I was riding a 79 Harley FLH Classic when I was 16 in High School, I'm 46 now, owned 1 Suzuki GSXR 1100 when they came out in 1986, sold it 3 months later and remained on my Harley's ever since then! My dad and uncles always had Harley's, so I guess it was inevitable that I to would join their ranks, nothing beats how a Big Touring Bike rides IMHO!!

It would just have to be a second bike.

Congrats on the new bike.

Exactly...I hear it all the time about how folks didnt know Harley made a bike like the Shark. Only thing I ever hear people think of with Harley is the Batwing and "Old white guys". So yes, the Shark is definitely the anti-old geezer glide and about 90% of the guys I know with em are less that 40. Its the best kept secret right now...the secret being that the shark is the Anti-old guy on a Harley. Even the younger women thinks the Batwing makes you look old!

Wish I was smart enough to ride a RG when I was 23.
Back then i was riding Yamaha XS Eleven, Not a bad old bike, but certainly not a RG!

25 and bought a street glide. Not a huge fan of the road glide but I wouldn't dream of trading my "old man" touring.
