Default Check out this New Product

I was looking around at the Kuryakyn site, and I came across this new item for Electraglides.

http://www.kuryakyn.com/products.asp...ey&ci=3767

Looks pretty slick, and will take the mirrors off of the handlebars. The only thing that worries me about this setup is how weak those 3 screws are at the top of the fairing. They strip out very easily, so if you are tightening this item on your bike it would be very easy to go too much.

I'am with you on the screws strippin out Steve, I also think there would be alot of vibration. Betcha its one of things that you find at a swap meet two years from now.

That is a great idea for a product. As far as the screws stripping out...Its not the screws stripping, its the insert spinning in the plastic housing. simply screw the bolt in even with the end, put some epoxy in the hole and press the insert back into the hole. Give it a couple minutes and remove the bolt before the epoxy completely sets up. This is what I did for mine and I've had no more problems.

Will a hole need to be drilled into the fairing for the wires on the turn signal type?

I'd think they'd run the wires in a channel inside that trim piece and then they could just tuck down in the fairing between the inner and outer fairing shells....If not, they probably should have done it that way.[8D]

Would be a great looking addition to the SG. Kury got some good products in production.

God Bless and ride safe,
