I was there in 2008 during Bike Week. After buying two t-shirts and some SE plug wires I walked outside and decided to get a Dove ice cream bar at a little stand and Bruce was standing by the stand and ended up paying for our ice cream bars. IIRC, six or more of us in line. Cool thing for him to do. And a cool store and surrounding.
I was there a few times, after the Daytona 500. At that time there were a lot of high end customs ( about 40) on the 2nd level. Last time there, there were only 3. I don't know if they stopped carrying them because of sales??
A big place like that has big bills to pay, that is why some of the prices are so high. Still I would like to see the place when I get down to Daytona.
Went down in Oct for Biketoberfest and traded my Switchback with 16k at 1 year for a 2012 ultra limited. I got a great deal in my mind. Thay actually gave me money for my bike. 3500 more then any store in NC wanted to.
Been there and pretty sure Barnett's in El Paso is bigger. At least it has a bigger bike inventory. Have gotten good deals at their weekend sales but wouldn't buy a bike from them. WAY OVER MSRP.
Yeah I've been there and the place is really cool with the vintage Harley's sitting up top and second floor with escalator. The place was cool but the staff was not well at least to me and my wife. We left with an uneasy feeling and will probably never go back. Orlando Harley however we have been to twice and both times were great and staff was amazing.
I live 90 minutes away from Rossmeyers and stop there all the time. Thing is that place is so big with hundreds of employees, so the overhead has to be huge and they need to make the $$ on the bikes. More of a showplace than a bike shop IMO.
Was there a couple years ago for bike week & was in my car because I had a friend visiting from NY. They wanted $10 to park. I said "no thanks" & have NOT been back since. Pretty damn tacky to charge to park to come in & shop.
Rossmeyer Harley doesn't charge to park. All the landowners surrounding the place do. $10 shouldn't be a dealbreaker if you've never been there at Bike Week. Well worth it.
