I would think a jack would get in the way more than help, a true table lift would be cats ***. My buddy has one, and has a scissor block jack he puts under the frame to remove a wheel or for additional stability

Yes there is, everything usually follows the basic laws of physics however, I own both a center stand hydrauilic lift and an 8' pneumatic lift and my point was balance is critical on the center lift, not on the other.
Remember to clean the pipes with Windex to remove your hand and finger prints before starting your bike or they will be there for life.
Also if you are installing headers pipes and muffers have everything lines up before tighting the bolts, work from the heads back when tighting.
