Thunder-Max would probably be "the best."
It certainly is the "most expensive."
I went with the PC-V from Fuel/Moto and it was pre-mapped for my stage 1 configuration. Plug and play, and super support from them.
Can't recommend them enough, as you'll see the longer that you are on this site.
Put different cams in the bike and then had it dyno-ed, and most dyno-ers can work with the PC-V.
The "best" is not an add-on device. I believe the PV is at the top of the Tmax/sepst/tts heap right now but the real key is a proper tune by a skilled tuner!
Have a 012 ultra, replaced headers& slip on, now need air cleaner and tuner. What is best pcv or pv I dont see a need for future modifieds
"Best" is very subjective. Objectively, the PV is very easy to use and allows you to reflash the ecu with a very intuitive user interface or use your PC for even more flexibility. It also has an "auto tune" feature which will allow you to capture actual running parameters and modify the tune based on your exact riding style and conditions. Give Jamie at Fuel Moto a call. He will explain the PV and offer other options as well. I have the PV and it is a very cool device. Not cheap but usually you get what you pay for.
I hit the keyboard and researched various options, read/studied/planned what I wanted from my bike and then just went for it. Asking for opinions/recommendations will only add to your confusion so just do some research, set a budget, think about what you want & do it.
Power Vision is what I swear by. I have had the PC5, SERT, Vance and Hines Fuel Paks and the Power Vision. They all will do what you want, but the PV offers a lot of functions that none of the others do. My favorite is the fact that you can set it up tobe additional guages and you can data log with it. I have never been a fan of piggy back devices. Only you can decide, but I suggest you read up on each of them.
Asking what is "Best" about anything on this site will just confuse you.
Opinions are like noses, everybody has one.
My Train & Ultra both have headers & high flow breathers, & I'm running
Vance & Hines FuelPaks. They are simple plug & play. No issues.
+2. If you ask for advice it just muddies the water. Do your homework and buy what you can afford for what you want to do.
